Founded in 1932 by Late Shri Shiv Narain Sahu, Sahu Theatre marked the beginning of a new era for the Sahu Group. Designed by a French architect, it debuted as Plaza with 650 seats, later known as Regal and Filmistaan, before proudly taking on the family name. Located in the heart of Hazratganj, this iconic cinema has always stood apart, becoming a landmark in Lucknow’s entertainment scene.
Embracing the modern era, Sahu Theatre was the first in Uttar Pradesh to introduce the Kinoton German projector and Bose Sound System, offering an unmatched cinematic experience. To celebrate 50 years of the Sahu Group, it was fully renovated—blending cutting-edge facilities with its rich Art Deco heritage—making it not just a theatre, but a must-visit destination for nostalgia, luxury, and world-class entertainment.
